As the count down to the conclusion of the first term of the Governor Willie Obiano administration continues, some well meaning citizens of the state have concluded in unison that he deserves a second term in office.
Speaking to the press in Awka, the traditional ruler of Nri, Eze Obidiegwu Onyesoh said that Obiano’s administration has restored the confidence of the people of Nri in government business.
According to Eze Onyesoh the greatest achievement of the governor is the twenty million naira grant approved for all communities in the state for the execution of their choice projects.
The Royal Father listed another major achievement of the governor to include the regular payment of workers salaries and urged him to address some of the challenges facing Nri community such as the rehabilitation of the onu Ngene bridge leading to Enugukwu, and the rehabilitation of the famous Nri museum for the promotion of Igbo Culture.
He said the governor deserves a second term in office and will receive his full support if he wishes to vie for the governorship position after his first term in office.
On his part, his Omasi counterpart, Igwe Benjamin Okeji appreciated governor Obiano’s development thrust which has consolidated his stand to be relectedfor a second term in office.
Igwe Okeji appreciated also the Governor’s twenty million naira development grant for each of the 179 communities in the state with Omasi Uno and Omasi Agu selecting town hall projects which construction have since commenced.
Contributing, a former speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly Dr. Kanayo Enemuo stressed that the governor has shown commitment towards the infrastructural development of the state and his emphasis on Agriculture.
Rating the present administration’s high profile of development accomplishments Dr. Enemuo encouraged him to remain focused not minding the distractions he is facing.
The former Chief Law maker urged him to ensure the rehabilitation of the Awka-Ifite Awka-Isiagu road to decongest the traffic in Awka city.
